Dean had been in labor for only five hours, and he was already tired. Sam was timing his contractions, and they were ten minutes apart. Since Dean’s water hadn’t broken yet, he hadn’t gone to the hospital.

“Just remember that this isn’t the worst of the pain,” Sam told his brother in the midst of a contraction. He ignored Dean’s glare. Sam now understood why Dean didn’t like it when he was in labor. Seeing Dean in this amount of pain was hard to get through.

“I’m glad Bobby and Ellen took the kids out,” Dean replied after the contraction passed. He didn’t want his son and daughter seeing him like this. It was bad enough Sam had to.

Sam nodded. “At least they won’t go to the hospital until after the baby’s born.” He hoped the baby came soon. Sam really wanted to meet him or her.

Dean stood up and began pacing. He didn’t want to sit anymore.

“Be careful,” Sam warned. He was staying right behind Dean, but still worried about him.

“I am be careful!” Dean meant to say more, but another contraction nearly brought him to his knees. Sam caught his pregnant brother just in time, though.

“That was five minutes. The contractions are getting closer.” Sam wanted to take Dean to the hospital now.

“I want to go to the hospital,” Dean reluctantly admitted. He hated hospitals, but felt he really needed to go now.

If Dean wanted to go to the hospital, that was bad. “We’ll head out now,” Sam agreed. He decided to take his car just in case Dean’s water broke on the way to the hospital. The Impala would be cleaned thoroughly if that happened, but Sam knew his brother would panic if it did.

Sam helped Dean out to the car, holding his brother tight when when another contraction hit.

The two Winchesters made it to the hsopital in nearly twenty minutes. Dean had suffered through three contractions in that time.

About ten minutes after they arrived, Dean had a room and was now situated. He was in a hospital gown and everything.

“How you feeling?” Sam questioned. He was still worried.

“Like crap.” Dean didn’t understand why and how Sam had gone through this twice.

“What about an epidural?” Sam asked. He had chosen both times to go through natural childbirth, but Dean might pick another option.

Dean shook his head. “No epidural. I can do this without drugs. I hope, anyway.” He struggled not to cry out in pain as another contraction began.

The doctor came in a few minutes later to check on his patient. “You’re about seven centimeters dilated, Dean. I expect the baby to arrive in a few hours.”

Sam smiled. “You’re almost there, Dean. We’ll be meeting our third child soon.” Whatever else he was going to say was interrupted by Dean having another contraction and grabbing Sam’s hand.

“This really sucks,” Dean muttered. He definitely did not want to go through this ever again.

“I know it does.” Sam noticed the contractions were starting to come closer together.

Dean whimpered in pain at another contraction about five minutes later. He was determined not to scream. “I want to go for a walk, Sam.”

“Are you sure?” Sam knew that walking helped labor progress, but he wasn’t sure if Dean should do it. What if he gave birth in the hallway or something?

“I’m sure, Sammy.” Dean couldn’t stand sitting for so long. It was boring.

Sam and a nurse helped Dean out of the bed. The three began walking down the hall. They stopped a few minutes in when a contraction tore through Dean’s body. He grabbed onto Sam and tried his best to hold back a scream.

“You can scream, Dean. I won’t think any less of you,” Sam comforted, rubbing Dean’s back.

“Okay.” Dean really wanted to meet his and Sam’s baby. Labor was one of the worst things he had ever gone through.

Sam didn’t say anything when Dean held his hand the rest of the way down the hall.

Dean returned to his room and was just about ready to get into bed when his water broke. He stared at the now wet floor in horror.

“We’ll get it cleaned up, Sweeite,” the nurse assured Dean as another contraction ripped through him.

“It’s okay, Dean. The baby might be here sooner than the doctor thought,” Sam soothed. He was just glad that nothing was going wrong.

Dean and Sam settled in to watch a movie. Sam sat next to his brother and rubbed Dean’s back as contraction after contraction assaulted him.

“Please make it stop hurting,” Dean sobbed and pleaded about two hours later. The contractions were now about two mintues apart, and he had finally broken.

“I would if I could. I’m so sorry that you’re in this much pain.” Sam was ready to start crying himself. Seeing Dean like this was extremely hard.

“You’re about nine centimeters dilated. Shouldn’t be too much longer,” the doctor informed the Winchesters.

“You said that an hour ago!” Dean cried as his OB/GYN went to leave.

“You are making great progress, Dean. This baby wants to meet his or her daddy very soon.” The doctor smiled at him and left.

Yet another contraction surged through Dean’s body. He screamed in pain. He was past the point of caring whether or not he was strong in front of Sam.

“I love you so much,” Sam comforted. He would totally go through this again if it meant Dean didn’t have to. Then again, he and Dean had decided that three kids were enough.

“Love you too,” Dean murmured when the contraction passed. Right now, he had no clue why he had ageed to have the next baby after Helena’s birth.

Less than half an hour later, the contractions were coming a minute apart. Dean couldn’t stop crying.

“You’re doing so well, Babe.” Sam didn’t get away with calling Dean that all the time, but his brother didn’t care at the moment. He was in too much pain.

The doctor entered the room to check on Dean about an hour later. “How are you doing now, Dean?”

“I think I have to push,” Dean suddenly declared. He went to bear down and started pushing, but the OB/GYN stopped him.

“Don’t push yet. I have to check to see if you’re ten centimeters dilated.” He checked. “You’re definitely completely dilated. I want you to give me a big push on the next contraction, Dean.”

Thirty seconds later, another contraction tore through Dean. He bore down and began pushing.

“Babe, you can do this. I know you can. Push as hard as you can,” Sam encouraged. He refused to let go of Dean’s hand. Dean wouldn’t give the hand up either.

“Can I get in the squatting position and push?” Dean questioned. That seemed like a very helpful position.

“Of course you can.” Sam and the nurse helped Dean out of the bed and onto the floor.

Dean cried out at the next contraction, and began pushing again. He could definitely feel the baby moving down. It hurt a lot, and was one of the weirdest sensations he had ever experienced. “Make it stop,” he sobbed.

“Babe, you’re doing really well. I love you so much,” Sam comforted. He really hoped that neither of them had to go through labor again.

Dean began pushing again at the next contraction. “I want the baby out!” he screamed.

“The baby’s starting to crown. Let’s get you back on the bed,” the OB/Gyn said.

Sam and the nurse helped Dean back to his bed. Sam refused to let go of his brother’s hand once again.

Dean bore down and began pushing immediately after returning to the bed. He cried out loudly when the baby’s head slip out.

“The baby’s crowned. I want you to give me a really big push on the next contraction.” The doctor was thrilled with how Dean’s labor was progressing.

“I can’t do this anymore,” Dean sobbed. He was tired of pushing and just wanted to go to sleep. Why couldn’t he do that?

“Of course you can do this, Babe. Remember what you told me when I was in labor with DJ and Helena? You’re strong. I know you’re tired, but you need to keep pushing.” Sam wiped the sweat off Dean’s red face and kissed his brother.

The next contraction started to ripple through Dean’s body, so he once again bore down and started to push.

“Give me another really big push. The baby is almost completely out,” the doctor told Dean.

Dean let out another sob. He cried out at the next contraction and pushed. This time, he felt the baby slide out the entire way.

“It’s a girl!” cried the doctor. He began preparing for Dean to deliver the placenta as the baby was handed off to a nurse.

“I’m so proud of you, Babe. You did so well, and now we have another daughter,” Sam told Dean. He kissed his brother again.

Dean delivered the placenta, and his Sam’s new daughter was handed to him.

“Hi, Baby Girl. You’re so beautiful,” Dean told her. He looked up and smiled at Sam.

“She’s definitely beautiful. What are we going to name her?” Sam asked. DJ and Helena were going to adore their new sister.

“Rebecca Ellen,” Dean decided. Rebecca had been in the running during Sam’s pregnanc y with Helena, but the name hadn’t fit the little girl. It fit their new daughter instead.

“It’s perfect, Babe,” agreed Sam. He kissed Rebecca, and once again kissed Dean.

“Stop calling me that,” Dean ordered. He really didn’t care, though. Despite being sore from the delivery, Dean was glad to have met the newest Winchester.

The Winchesters loved the newest family member. Now everyone had to meet her.

“How do you think DJ is going to react to having another sister?” Sam couldn’t stop staring at Rebecca. He had another daughter! He and Dean were fathers of three now. That was so surreal.

Dean shrugged and the yawned. “No idea. He’ll probably end up being really oveprotective of her, just like he is with Lena.” He was so tired.

Sam noticed that his brother’s eyes were starting to close, so he picked up Rebecca. “Go to sleep. You deserve your rest, Dean.”

Dean’s eyes closed, and Sam decided to just sit there with Rebecca. “I love you, little girl. Your daddy and I adore you. Your big brother and sister will too. You complete us, Rebecca. We won’t let anything happen to you. Grandpa will make sure nothing happens, too.”

The baby opened her eyes and struggled to focus on one of her daddies. She let out a little cry, but quieted down immediately.

Dean woke up a few hours later. Rebecca was in the hospital bassinet and sleeping. Sam couldn’t stop staring at her.

“Hey. How are you feeling now?” Sam questioned. He couldn’t stop worrying about his brother. It was naturally ingrained.

“Still a little sore, but I feel a whole lot better than I did when I was in labor. How did you go through that twice? And willingly, too?” Dean couldn’t understand how. How did men and women go through this every single minute of everyday?

“I love you so much, Dean. You and our family make so happy, Babe.” Sam had always loved his brother, and falling in love with him hadn’t changed things much.

Dean decided to let Sam have this chick flick moment. “I love you too, Sammy. And ditto.” Dean couldn’t imagine life without Sam and their kids.

Dean began feeding Rebecca when she woke up about ten minutes later crying. Sam couldn’t stop staring at either of them.

The next day, Bobby and Ellen agreed to bring DJ and Helena to the hospital so they could meet their new sister. Once again, Sam and Dean were keeping the baby’s name a secret until everyone got there. It was more fun that way.

“She’s cute,” Helena declared almost immediately after seeing her new sister and learning her name. She couldn’t stop staring at Rebecca.

Everyone laughed. “You’re a big sister now, Lena. You up to the job?” Sam asked his middle child. Wow, he couldn’t believe that Helena was now the middle child. Definitely still surreal.

Helena nodded. “Best big sister ever.” She was serious about that, and everyone could tell.

“It’s a big job. You going to be able to handle it?” questioned Dean. He knew that DJ was already a great big brother, so he already had that down pat.

The Winchester family had expanded for probably the last time, and everyone was thrilled to meet Rebecca.

They had a perfect family.

Yay, first!

I really enjoyed this update! I glad you stuck to a natural birth and didn't let Dean get a C-section because I was really loking forward to see him in labor and delivering their third child. I knew it would be a girl! That way DJ can keep his special position in the family and their won't be any conflict when it comes to passing the impala on. ;)

Very cute story!

Hee. Thanks for reading and reviewing! I'm glad you enjoyed this update.

Even up to a few hours ago, I was thinking that Dean might need an emergency c-section. However, I did decide to go with a natural birth.

I'm glad you figured out the baby would be a girl!

I'm happy you thought this was cute.
